Booking terms & conditions
Template notice: this is a starting-point T&Cs document. Booking holidays involves consumer-protection law (Package Travel Regulations 2018). Have these reviewed by a travel solicitor before you trade.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to all holidays booked through planholidays.co.uk ("the website"), operated by planholidays ("we", "us"). By submitting a booking request you confirm you've read and accept these terms on behalf of everyone in your party.
2. How a booking is made
- You submit a booking request via our website or by phone.
- A specialist contacts you to confirm availability and the final all-in price.
- Your booking becomes a contract only when you pay a deposit (or pay in full) and we issue written confirmation.
- Until written confirmation is issued, prices and availability are subject to change.
3. Pricing and what's included
Prices shown on the website are indicative and based on minimum group sizes, lowest-fare cabins and standard rooms. Your specialist will confirm the final all-in price (flights, accommodation, transfers, baggage and applicable taxes) before payment. Optional extras are quoted separately.
4. Payment
- A non-refundable deposit (typically 15% of total) is required at booking.
- The balance is payable no later than 8 weeks before departure.
- Bookings made within 8 weeks of departure are payable in full at booking.
- Direct debit instalments are available for bookings over £500pp — no interest, no fees.
5. Changes by you
Free amendments up to 8 weeks before departure, subject to supplier availability and any price difference. Inside 8 weeks, amendment fees may apply at the supplier's discretion.
6. Cancellation by you
Cancellation charges scale with how close to departure you cancel:
- More than 8 weeks before: loss of deposit only
- 8–4 weeks before: 50% of total holiday cost
- 4–2 weeks before: 75%
- Inside 2 weeks: 100%
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
7. Changes or cancellation by us
We rarely change confirmed bookings, but if we have to (e.g. due to supplier withdrawal), we'll notify you as soon as possible and offer either: (a) an alternative of equivalent or higher standard at no extra cost, or (b) a full refund. For "significant changes" we'll also offer compensation per the Package Travel Regulations.
8. Financial protection
Package holidays booked through us include appropriate financial protection arrangements. Your booking is confirmed in writing once payment is taken, and your money is handled securely in line with applicable UK travel regulations.
9. Passports, visas and health
It is your responsibility to ensure you and everyone in your party hold valid passports, any required visas, and meet health requirements for your destination. We will provide general guidance but cannot be held responsible for refused entry or boarding.
10. Complaints
We aim to resolve any issue while you're still in resort — please call our 24/7 line so we can act immediately. If you remain dissatisfied, write to us within 28 days of returning and we will respond promptly.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
